Real life

My face explains it all. Ok well maybe it only describes my feelings towards dinner, but close enough!
Sometimes being a wife is not easy. Marital bliss is not always as blissful as they say. I went into my marriage thinking I was going to be the perfect wife with a small allowance of imperfection. I was going to have laundry done and folded in the appropriate amount of time, homemade dinner always ready, my house immaculate, servant hearted towards my husband, and always looking attractive for him at any time.

        Not the case.

My clean laundry will sometimes stay in the basket til the next laundry day before it gets put up, sometimes dinner does not go or taste the way I want (like tonight), my house right now needs to be cleaned, I do not always want to serve my husband as much as it pains me to say, and let's just say that Jammie's and my hair up is my latest fashion choice!

Granted some of this is due to pregnancy hormones and some of it my laziness. I desire to look good and love my husband to the best of my abilities. Unfortunately my selfishness can get in the way! Thankfully I have an understanding husband who shows me a picture of Gods love everyday!

Wow here comes the Preggo brain..... I just lost the rest of my thought.

Anyways you get the point. Thank goodness for grace and understanding!

Soup & Mason Jars

Tuesday was a busy day. I FINALLY folded the loads of laundry that have been sitting in our basket, cleaned up our room, and made some home made soup! Once again Mom's recipe made for a yummy dinner. Best gift I have received was her recipe book Mom made for me!!!!! It's making many yummy dinners for us! This time it was Corn Chowder. I did it without ham cause I didnt have any even though it is TEN times better with the ham!

My husband def approved this meal!

My newest creation is a painted mason jar. I have been trying FOREVER to find a teal or aqua utensil holder for our kitchen. Our colors for our house are browns, whites, and pops of teal, blue or aqua. I finally got tired of looking for the holder and decided to create my own! I have been using a mason jar for my utensils and saw a thing on Pinterest about painting the inside. So I mixed some craft paint and WALA! I think I will tie some burlap string or lace around it as well!

I will post the link to Pinterest in case anyone wants to do the same project!

My next project is a rag rug....Salvation Army here I come!!!!!

Stay tuned for more projects and recipes!

Tea Time

I'm sitting here drinking a cuppa tea while the Hubs does his homework. Nothing special really, just enjoying his presence. We dont have many nights like this as one of us is normally working. It's nice when we do get nights like this for sure! Today I was a major housewife! I got up this morning, put a chicken in the crock pot, ran to Ikea for some curtain rods, to Target for curtains, and then back home to clean and finish dinner. Yay for being productive and getting things done!

I have so many projects running through my mind for my little nest! I need a sofa for sure and a headboard for our bed! I am trying to be creative and think of the coolest way to do a headboard. Pinterest has some good ideas but I'm still looking!!

Tonights dinner was White Chicken Enchiladas! YUMM!

They were so DELICIOSO!
If you want the recipe click on this link.

OH we did find this gem of a chair for $30 dollars on craigs list! LOVE IT!
